Tick-tock: beware of the clock when making a claim
HITTING the headlines recently was the House of Lords ruling that ‘Mrs A’, a serious sexual assault victim of Ioworth Hoare — dubbed the ‘Lotto Rapist’ — could bring a civil claim for damages against her attacker although the six-year statutory limitation for claims in tort under s.2 Limitation Act 1980 had long since expired.
