Gas carriers trade at loss as rates ‘hit 10-year low’
SPOT rates for very large gas carriers have reportedly hit fresh 10-year lows and face little prospect of bouncing back this year. Extra tonnage, high bunker costs, liquefied natural gas project delays and rising liquefied petroleum gas prices have exacerbated extremely poor trading conditions.
