Five bidders for $1.3bn Vizhinjam deal
FIVE consortia made up of port operators from the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and India have formed the list of bidders to vie for the rights to operate the proposed Rs53.48bn ($1.3bn) international container transhipment terminal at Vizhinjam, near Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala state, writes Shirish Nadkarni in Mumbai.
