Take a bow Le Havre welcomes Maersk’s latest E-class boxship
Pictured arriving at the French port of Le Havre is the newly-built Eugen Maersk, the eighth E-class vessel to be built by the Maersk group’s Odense Steel Shipyard, writes Andrew Spurrier in Paris. The 11,000 teu vessel, which reputedly has a real capacity of up to 14,000 teu, was on its maiden voyage to the Far East. Port of Le Havre officials are hoping that yesterday’s test call will generate regular calls in future. Picture: Eric Houri
