Mumbai gears up to compete
MUMBAI Port Trust has embarked on an ambitious redevelopment plan that will help it increase throughput capacity and allow it to compete for cargo with neighbouring ports such as Jawaharlal Nehru port, which was actually set up in 1989 to be a satellite to Mumbai but ended up becoming India’s top container port.
