Singapore holds on to top spot
SINGAPORE remained the world’s busiest container port last year, following another busy year for the country’s maritime industries. The port handled 27.9m teu in 2007, an increase of 12.7% over 2006, Transport Minister Raymond Lim revealed at the Singapore Maritime Foundation New Year reception yesterday.
