Rhine barge master guilty of negligence
TWO and a half years after a dramatic accident on the river Rhine involving the barge Excelsior , a German court has fined the vessel’s former master €3,200 ($4,787). The ruling found the master guilty of negligence but cleared his co-master of any wrongdoing, writes Alexander Bakst in Cologne .
