Trade picks up but traffic down 12% at Rotterdam
ROTTERDAM, Europe’s largest port by volume, saw total throughput fall 11.9% in the first nine months of 2009 to 283m tonnes but advised that the cargo downturn has stabilised, writes Roger Hailey .
