Cargo decline hits profits at Chu Kong
A SLUMP in bulk cargo volumes led the Guangdong-focused port and shipping firm Chu Kong Shipping Development to post a 43% decline in net profit to HK$41.6m ($6m) for the first half this year, down from HK$73.6m a year earlier. Revenue fell 19.7% to HK$367.6m, writes Hui Ching-hoo .
