Piracy - July 19

London, Jul 19 -- A press report, dated Jul 18, states: Somali pirates today released German-owned general cargo with container capacity Victoria and its 11 crew members, that they commandeered in the Gulf of Aden two months ago, an official said. Andrew Mwangura of the Seafarers Assistance Program said the Victoria and its 11 Romanian crew members "are all safe." The vessel, carrying 10,000 tons of rice to Jeddah, had been seized May 5. (See issue of May 8.)
