Political carnival masks a serious division
SWEDEN’S politicians and lobby groups are all gathered this week in Visby, a small medieval town on Gotland, for seven days of conferences, meetings and debate. The week of annual political carnival has started this year just as Europe’s presidency comes to Stockholm, and with it the policy talks about integrated transport and environmental targets, writes Craig Eason .
