Chinese ports face above-average throughput decline in 2009
HSBC Global Research is predicting a 10%-15% fall in 2009 second-quarter volumes for China’s ports, although an easing of pressure in the second half will allow a full year decline of 7%, set against forecasts of a 3% fall for ports globally this year.
