Japan offers subsidies to promote cuts in emissions
JAPAN’S Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is to offer ¥1.2bn ($12.6m) in subsidies to the country’s shipping and shipbuilding sectors to promote projects that reduce carbon dioxide emissions from ships, writes Mike Grinter .
