Labour Disputes - April 24

London, Apr 24 -- A press report, dated today, states: The pilots of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) called off their seven-day strike yesterday after successful talks with the national carrier's administration at the Defence Ministry. "As a result of the talks, the flights will revert to the normal schedule and both sides will deliberate and conclude a working agreement within the stipulated timeframe," a ministry's statement said. A go-slow by pilots had forced the PIA to cancel dozens of flights, resulting in losses of millions of dollars.
