Weather & Navigation - March 22
London, Mar 22 -- A press report, dated today, states: The Australian newspaper reported that Rio Tinto Group has lifted the force majeure at its Pilbara iron ore ports after a month of longer than normal shipping queues triggered by heavy rains. The newspaper said that Rio first declared force majeure which frees it from liability owing to circumstances beyond its control on Feb 14 when berthing of vessels was suspended because of the storms. The vessel queue has returned to pre-storm levels. (See issue of Feb 21.)
