Lest we forget
TWENTY years separate tomorrow’s anniversary of the Exxon Valdez pollution disaster in 1989 and the arrival of the liquefied natural gas carrier Tembek at Milford Haven on Friday. There is no direct link between the two events other than they involved ships and energy cargoes. Both, however, provide an insight into the misguided manner in which the public views shipping, if only as part of a larger industrial chain.
