SNCM to appeal ‘anti-competition’ fine

FRENCH Mediterranean ferry operator SNCM is to appeal against a French competition council decision to impose on it a €300,000 ($377,000) fine for “serious, anti-competitive behaviour” in its efforts to keep the subsidised public service concession for ferry services between the French mainland and the island of Corsica in 2006, writes Andrew Spurrier in Paris.
