Confusion mounts over quick release function

AT an anchor handling seminar in Stavanger last November, Arne Sagen of the Skagerrak Safety Foundation warned that after the Bourbon Dolphin capsize there had been suggestions in Norway that there was general confusion about the proper use and function of the emergency release function of anchor handling winches among offshore vessels.
