Florida legislators ‘scared of insurance’, state representatives tell ID Summit Bermuda
The single biggest issue preventing the further opening up of Florida’s property market to private carriers is legislators’ fear of insurance, delegates at the Insurance Day Summit Bermuda heard from members of the state’s House of Representatives, who jetted into the island to discuss ongoing calls for reinsurers to be allowed to take on more tax-payer cat risk in the state.
