Hannover Re estimates €250m hit from Japan quake
HANNOVER RE has become the last of the four big European reinsurers to issue a very provisional estimate of its losses as a result of the March 11 earthquake in Japan, stating this morning that it “currently anticipates a burden of losses in the order of €250m after retrocessions and before taxes”.
