Swiss Re estimates $1.2bn Japan loss
SWISS RE this morning estimated that it would face claims of about $1.2bn, net of retrocession and pre-tax, as a result of the March 11 earthquake in Tohuku, Japan, and the subsequent tsunami that wiped out much of the north-east coastline of the main Japanese island Honshu.
