S&P says life securitisations pose “unique risks”
LIFE settlement securitizations – none of which has yet been rated by Standard & Poor’s – entail some “unique risks” that make the assignment of a credit rating complex, according to S&P credit analyst Weili Chen, adding that “however, if we are presented with a proposal that, in our view, adequately addresses the risks that we believe are present in them, we may decide to assign a rating in accordance with our ‘Principles Of Credit Ratings,’ criteria article”.
